  • Insert sections and subsections; and

  • Insert training tools.

The Editor tools display to the left of the document content.

Editor capabilities

The Editor capabilities ensure authors can easily and effectively create and maintain content.

Drag and drop

The Editor provides the capability to drag and drop sections, subsections and tasks. This enables authors to quickly and easily alter the structure of a document.

Splitting

Similar to MS Word's page break,, Editor allows you to quickly create a task or subsection and move text and elements to the new task/subsection with one click.

Relative linking

The Editor supports relative linking which means if a section, subsection or task is moved, any link to the moved section, subsection or task is retained. (The link is redirected to the section, subsection or task's new position in the document structure.)

For an example,

Example: Relative linking

  • A procedure document contains 5 tasks.

  • Task 1 contains a link to task 2.

  • Due to a change in the procedure's process, task 2 is moved and becomes task 3.

The link in task 1 to task 2 is redirected to task 3.

Text copy and paste

The Editor supports text copy and paste which means authors can copy text from other sources (such as MS Word) and paste it into a Panviva document.
